The only option available to us is to make our own peace among ourselves. The precedence set by Dr. John Garang de Mabior—the 1994 Chukudum Convention, the 2002 return of Riek Machar and Lam Akol, and the 2004 Rumbek Peace and Reconciliation Conference—could guide us to peaceful resolution of this foolhardy conflict in South Sudan by uniting the Mother SPLM of Government, SPLM-IO and the G-10.

in the company of Dr. John Garang: once upon a time, we were united.

April 28, 2017 (SSB) — Violence destroys everything with devastating speed. Since December 2013, South Sudan has lost approximately close to 80,000 human lives; disabled hundreds of thousands young people; internally displaced over 1,000,000 citizens from their homes

Over three millions have emigrated to neighboring countries of Uganda, Kenya, Democratic Republic of Congo, Sudan, Ethiopia and those who have already migrated to Europe, USA, Canada or Australia are not coming back; many children are in the streets of our towns and no support and above all, over 5,000,000 humans are starving and sick to death.

On the ground, the country has shut down all essential services: lack of drinking water and food, insecurity, education and health are not functioning at all levels, towns or periphery. The common question, among many questions is: What can we do to save our lives and the country?

April 28, 2017 (SSB) — The above titled is a dedication to a friend of mine who since his childhood dedicated his life to serving his Country South Sudan. Am inspired by his intelligence, courage, and commitment along with many other South Sudanese who fought for independent. Am writing this article to share with you, the readers about a young man I know someday might do great things. It takes a person with an idea to change the lives of the next generation, I have worked and lived with this guy.

With ultimate devotion, this young man has fought on many fronts during the liberation struggle and continue with the same enthusiasm to date. Having served in South Sudan guerrilla army during the post-CPA period, .He left when he realized he could serve his country somewhere rather than in uniform, and established a successful Security company, Kass Security that has so far employed over 2,000 South Sudanese men and women while providing alternative security details to high-value foreign delegations. He is not a typical South Sudan businessman but a local guy who has globalized his company with presence in Kenya, Mauritius and The DR Congo as well as powerful connection to some biggest industries in the world.

Gossip and Rumor-mongering among South Sudanese

April 28, 2017 (SSB) — On the 13th April 2017, the South Sudan panel of experts released a report addressed to the United Nations Security Council, one that falsely accused me of mongering hate speech on social media an accusation I categorically term as pure lies and mere propaganda.  From where I sit, the authors of this document who are well known to us as the former political detainees and their cohorts are keen to stem any voice that supports the democratically -elected government under President Salva Kiir Mayardit.

While I welcome some of the report’s observation  on peaceful cohabitation among  64 tribes in the country , the single picking of my Facebook posts  some of which have nothing to do with South Sudan nation is rather irksome. I find it rather unique and orchestrated in the report managed to steer clear of mentioning the infamous SPLA – IO bloggers who are well known for dividing communities on ethnic lines through fabricated ethnic pieces of writings.

April 28, 2017 (SSB) — The forces of demand and supply has been some of the tools used to analyze the market in the world when it comes to foreign exchange and many others but that is not seems to be the case in the youngest nation in the world; the Republic of South Sudan. The forces of demand and supply dictate the market through increase and decrease. In this case, when the demand for hard currency increase the price for the hard currency increases and when the supply for the hard currency increases the price for the hard currency decreases drastically and vice versa.

But in south Sudan every season the high demand is toping, meaning there has been shortage since 2014, there has never been any increase of supply since the conflict broke out. That sound weird and doesn’t make sense. There must have been hug supply of hard currencies to the market but the problem is that the supply is being control by individuals who wholesale the hard currencies especially dollars and take them to the black market in order to individually benefit and control the market.
