The fruition of the CPA

January 17, 2018 (SSB) — It is now many years, the people of South Sudan have been characterized by wars throughout centuries in the then Sudan and now in South Sudan. Never, had we known that until today our country’s leadership would let its citizens’ crash into such a situation of bad coincidence in the history. Whether it was New Sudan or a breakaway South Sudan, it seemed very clear then in the words of the people who have assumed the positions at top of the nation that the country will be bright.

When we decided to break away from Sudan we were made to be pretty clear that the Sudan People Liberation Movement (SPLM) would stand strong in the words of their mouths that needed to be translated into deeds that the citizens want to see happening. In the beginning, the war in the bush was made to fight for a United New Sudan with the intention of liberating the whole Sudanese including some of the very Arabs and Muslims who seemed to have been cheated together like the South by the successive regimes in Khartoum.

South Sudan must be weaned off war

January 17, 2018 (SSB) — Analysts and journalists/writers wrote and spoken loud and clear about the deteriorating economic situation. Why torturing and starving people to death when the solution needs just a stroke of the pen? They said and complained on behalf of the people that it is bad. The designers and the beneficiaries of this chaotic situation picked it up and allude all these talks to an incitement.

It cost even senior technocrats their jobs. They are now on the run. Who doesn’t know that our own pound is dead? The only lifeline is American dollars, which is for the hoi polloi, like mining a gold. Families have broken up. Children left their homes. They dropped out of schools as their parents cannot meet school requirements nor afford medical bills.

These kids are roaming about in Juba and involved in committing crimes. The government employees have run to private sectors to seek for well-paid jobs, of course in hard currency. Despite what we all see and feel, there is no any plan in sight by the wielders of power especially the economy clusters which include the Central Bank on how to revive it.

January 17, 2018 (SSB) — South Sudan three buses journey made up of the civil population, leaders and armed forces to the twin city of peace and prosperity had been a doughy mission due to unnecessary dismount and alighting by the political actors, throaty commanding voices, and directives from the multiple remote hubs.

It had been a great drama of unconsciousness as the leaders vigorously gave orders to the buses’ drivers to gear off in order to put on board their behind the schedule friends and relatives who were caught unsuspecting when the convoy left.

This egotistical conduct set off the unrestrained commotion and disagreement on the leadership bus hence sending panic of possible delay or postponement of the entire journey; the second civil bus and the third armed forces bus keep on stopping as fierce commanding voices and immense bangs were heard from the leadership bus, that furious quarreling demanded a comprehensive resolution before the next journey recommencement.
