NCP to mentor the SPLM? Heaven forbids

“Our sister party will help in capacity building and exchanging ideas,” said Nunu Kumba on SSTV while unveiling the NCP party in Juba. And the next thing they will say is: “for the sake of unity and peace, we have decided to rejoin the Republic of the Sudan.” What has become of Salva Kiir Nhialic? He sold Abyei and now wanna sell South Sudan too? “KHALAS, WE’RE DONE!”

March 1, 2016 (SSB)  —  We verily applaud the President’s swift action of appointing the two investigation committees led by President Advisor Mr. Tut Gatluak and Justice Minister Mr.  Paulino Wanawillia to investigates and identify the culprits who massacred innocent civilians at United Nation protection camp in Malakal city and in the town of Wau respectively.

The president’s stern action perhaps means the killing was masterminded and done without his CONSENT. However, we feel the president could have appointed men and women with known reform and human rights defend credentials; and not mere political advisors with little passion for justice. He should NOT appoint the committee members based on patronage or their loyalty to him but on merit. He was supposed to appoint the committees from among the civil societies groups and or within the judiciary.

Readers, please be mindful that I’m no leader or a politician, given my young age, I probably would not and do not qualify for the mentioned, as this is our logic in South Sudan. But who I’m you will collect between these pages.

Old Map (1988) of New Jonglei state

March 1, 2016 (SSB)  —  Many concerned citizens from Duk and Twic East counties have expressed their dissatisfactions with the unfair distributions of ministerial posts and the allocation of MPs. It is fit for concerned and informed citizens to express their trepidations for issues which might directly affect them in their constituencies. I was one of the concerned citizens who believe that unfair representations in the new JS should be addressed.

Governor Philip Aguer of Jonglei state

Governor Philip Aguer of Jonglei state

March 1, 2016 (SSB)  —  In his speech on the First visit of His Excellency Philip Aguer Panyang, the newly appointed governor of Jonglei state to the state capital, Bor Town. Dr. Dau Aleer, a chairman of Twic east community said that he actually came to remind Philip Aguer of his “Adeet” which he caution not to let go his Adeet (leadership) to Makeer Chol Adol.

Briefly, the mythical story of “Rak Ke Ayen” is known to the people of greater Bor including Duk County. It is a story used by Bor county people to bully Twic East people while Twic people also have others of retaliations. One good thing with the two communities is the joke part of their life.
